Courtesy of South Yorkshire Police and my ever vigilante student accom (UNITE), I no longer have the item to sell. I had a visit this morning from two
bobbies and delightful site manager, and the bag was taken away to be destroyed. I however am now substantially out of pocket, as neither
the police nor my supplier is willing to refund me in any way. One of the policemen claimed there were numerous incidents where both buyers and
sellers are being inspected about the possession of such a compound, so Id be extra careful when buying larger quantities, or just extra shady. Considering 7/7 was over
2 years ago, they still allow this compound to be sold even though they consider it suspect. They were actually surprised that not only eBay allowed the sale of this, but that
there were websites and companies that manufactured and sold it too. So much for the "War on Terror". To me it seems a tad non-sensical to go running
after every unlucky sap that buys this stuff, of which there must be thousands, than to not just go to the suppliers, of which there would be considerably less.
Being a student, rather than a terrorist, I stated my ambitions, which were entirely financial (as opposed to suicidally religious) to the officers, yet here I am,
one bag of Potassium Nitrate and 30p less than I was a few days ago. Gee I love this country
On a lighter note, they also requested my ebay username and password, so dont be alarmed if you find me auctioning 1st edition Sweeney annuals or Bad Girls dvds.
Cheers Unite!
Legal to buy, but if you actually possess some of this stuff, naughty naughty. £50 out of pocket, cheers Unite. As if they dont already have enough ways to fucking rob you, the paranoid, ignorant site manager feels its her duty to report you for something thats in production and sale the fucking world over. Iv still got another 8 expensive months of residence here, which means hundreds of days I have to wonder when Im gonna get fucked again. She claimed it was flammable. Check this site. Its a page containing safety information for the substance, and in the fire hazard section, it shows that its actually non flammable.
The only reason I can think to be paranoid about this is if I were a terrorist, or even just someone with malicious intent. Fairly safe bet Im neither, and even though they knew, and seemed to believe, what my intentions were, that didnt matter. "Considering the current climate" they did what had to do. But it brings me back to m first point. If Police know what bombs are being made with, and theyre going to start chasing people who are buying it, regardless of the quantity, why arent they outlawing it. I know it has its legitimate uses, even in 25kg bags. Restrict the sale of it in larger quantities to non-commercial customers. But that is evidence of rational thinking I suppose.
I dont blame the police though. Considering theyre fucking ignorant of what they were dealing with anyway, they would have never even payed me a visit if it werent for my darling down in the site office, bless her cotton socks. One of the Policemen was surprised that it was freely available, almost as surprised as I was when I was having it confiscated from me.
After my interrogation, the Po decided theyd like a tour of my room. I felt obliged, as considering the unkempt nature of my quarters, theyd enjoy it. Pig jokes aside.
btw, Fuck Unite. Any prospective students, steer clear of accomodation that they own, as hard as it is. If you are left with the short straw, remember that breaking rules are expensive, specially with these swines. Failing that, I want you to do something for me. Buy a glow in the dark marker, and cover the walls with "Fuck" and "Unite"
